September 20, 2006. The Apple Store in the Shinsaibashi district of Osaka played host to the DESIGN MATTERS meeting.

Pens, Pencils, Paper Cuts, Paperclips, & Print
A great crowd turned out to hear Karl Escritt talk about how all the various elements — art, design, illustration, pen, paperclips, print — somehow fit together and create design that is organic but still needs the digital touch. Karl guided the audience through his process of designing images/graphics and how the images are put together, where the idea came from, etc. Karl also showed bits from his recent exhibition at the Japonica Gallery Kyoto, how that came about, and how it was promoted and designed.
