Daniel Lee: Practical design for print
In this presentation graphic designer Daniel Lee explained the basic steps involved in preparing artwork for print and get you all involved by creating a flyer in real-time. Daniel demystified the challenges presented by preparing data for print through practical examples and a crash course in printing jargon. A few fancy slides and a bit of theory later, he then boldly went where none have before him have dared and appealed for some audience participation to create a flyer on the spot. From concept to print-ready data - in 20 minutes!
About the presenter Daniel Lee is a graphic designer from England. Establishing himself as a designer for Kansai Scene magazine back in 2001, he continued to work freelance on both print and web projects before setting up his own graphic design company Mojoworks in 2006. His most recent venture, Mojoprint was born to bridge the gap between English speakers and the Japanese printing industry.
