Ms. Sachiko Kawamura Saie started out in the field of design by designing Visual Merchandising displays in the Daimaru department store in Shinsaibashi as well as Window displays, and inside the store's Visual Point Display. Later on, as a freelance display designer, she says she realized all the designs are developed as one frame in view. Today, she is involved in design that is intended to enchant the guests of theme parks in 2D, 3D, real and virtual.

MAY MEETING: Environmental Graphic Design at Universal Studios Japan
Japanese designer, Ms. Sachiko Kawamura Saie, gave a presentation about her work in the role of Environmental Graphic Designer at Universal Studious Japan. In this presentation, Sachiko introduced the graphic works for the park's entertainment show sets, as well as store designs for merchandise stores, food displays, food menu designs, operational graphics, and so on.
At Universal Creative Japan, the department responsible for maintaining the quality of USJ, Sachiko collaborates, develops and supports the design work with art directors from USA, utilizing her unique capacity and many experiences in the field of design. |
