March 28, 2006. The Apple Store in the Shinsaibashi district of Osaka played host to the DESIGN MATTERS meeting.

Paul Fleisher LIVE
Paul Fleisher on sax, accompanied by a tight rhythm section featuring the incomparable Hata Hiroshi on guitar and Nishikawa Satoshi (bass) and Minae Kazuo (drums), played some of his favorites from his latest album and had some fun as he demonstrated the power of jazz and story telling. Following the hour of cool jazz in the Apple theatre, Paul and his band played over at Savannah's (DM's Garr Reynolds took over on drums for the 2-jikai).

Paul Fleisher is originally from New York City where he first made a name for himself as an extraordinary talent and musician playing in such Broadway hits with Jesus Christ Super Star, Grease, and others. He's also recorded with Lou Reed and was a special guest for the Doobie Brothers. Now living in Japan and playing the club scene in Osaka and Tokyo, Paul is all jazz.

The playing continues at Savannah's down the street from Apple.
Paul really got hot at Savannah's...
