Daniel Kwintner on the power of design & packaging
Daniel Kwintner
Originally from Belgium, Daniel Kwintner is a design consultant and art director. His past experience covers 15 years in the field. He started as a netsurfer at the Cybertheatre, then web design manager for LRTech, in Belgium, helping to design the interface for the European Commission's mainframe application. He later joined Magnesium, an advertising agency, as a creative designer working on projects for Orange Telecom, Dr Pepper and Coke Light. Kwintner then moved to Montreal for seven years. After working for Epoxy as an interactive designer, he opened his own agency, KAICHU dot com, and completed projects for clients like Adidas, Bell Canada, Environment Canada and Bombardier. He was then hired as a design consultant and liaison officer by the Society for Arts and Technology, a major center for new media and digital arts, to help them establish connections within the Asian community in Montreal and forge partnerships with art centers in East Asia. Kwintner is now based in Japan, where he works for IDA, a Japanese firm that specializes in package design. He lives in Osaka with his wife and two daughters.
